Class descriptions:
Breathwork & Yin Yoga Flow – Starting the retreat off the right way with connection to the breath and the body, tuning in and letting go of the external world by starting with some gentle breath work and yoga stretches, moving into an embodied vinyasa flow where the class is uniquely sequenced, mindful movement, finding both freedom and support, to explore new movement patterns and fluidity. Creating feelings of relaxation and energized rejuvenation.
Yang Flow – dynamic flow through yoga poses to create a powerful yet fluid flow to unlock your inner and outer strength. Focusing on poses from a biomechanical perspective on the alignment of the body and the mechanics of movement. Also, from physiological perspective where we focus on the effects of yoga on the nervous system, the endocrine system, and the cardiovascular system to connect each movement through a dynamic movement.
Tribal Fascia Flow – Explore fully the freedom of your movement through the polarities of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. We'll focus on the dynamic flow connecting through the fascia tissue using the tense and release method. The atmosphere that tribal house music will create will allow people to fully enjoy movement and choose individual intensity level. Each section will be emphases on individual energy polarity energy translated into the exercises and the flow.
Acro Yoga – Learn to fly during Acro yoga workshop. During this workshop we will be combining aspects of yoga, basic acrobatics and have some fun! It is a partner acrobatics discipline. People of all ages and skill levels engage in acro yoga, which can be a great way to work out, develop flexibility and strength, and have fun.
Three people are usually needed to perform acro yoga: a base, a flyer, and a spotter. The person on the ground who supports the flyer is referred to as the base. The person who is supported by the base is known as the flyer. The spotter is the person who stands guard over the flyer to keep it secure.
Cacao Ceremony - A cacao ceremony is an ancient ritual that fills you with energy and joy. It originates from ancient traditions and has gained popularity in modern times for its ability to promote mindfulness and personal growth.
What is ceremonial-grade cacao?
Ceremonial-grade cacao is different from the regular cocoa you find in chocolate bars. It's unroasted, minimally processed. This type of cacao is believed to retain more of its natural beneficial compounds.
Benefits of cacao ceremonies
- Increased feelings of love, joy, and gratitude
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Deeper self-awareness and connection to intuition
- Release of emotional blockages and limiting beliefs
- Enhanced creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Stronger sense of community and connection to others
Dance Flow Meditation - A guided free moving meditation practice, that encourages self-expression and discovery, by allowing us to explore and express how we feel through movement. Created and inspired by the healing island of Ibiza, this ecstatic movement practice is a vehicle for embodiment and consciousness. Letting the music and words guide us on a journey that deeply connects us to ourselves, creating more space and freedom in our bodies.
Yoga Nidra – This practice gives us the space to slow down, a chance to stay with our experiences and go within. We start with some restorative yoga where postures are practiced seated or laid down where we can stretch deeply and gently to focus on the release of mind/body tension.
We then head into rest in the most comfortable position possible whilst guided through a Yoga Nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra translates into ‘Yogic sleep’ where you will be taken through a guided meditation to bring the body into a state of deep relaxation while your mind remains awake.
A blissfully relaxing practice where it journeys deep into your subconscious to promote clarity and the opportunity to experience deep freedom within ourselves.
